As a result of coronavirus constraints, Atletico Madrid last-16 home game against Chelsea in the Champions League moved from Spain to Bucharest, Uefa reported on Wednesday.
At Arena Nationala in the Romanian capital, the first leg tie will be held.
Chelsea said that the match date and start-time (2000 GMT) will remain the same in a statement on their website.
The second leg will take place on 17 March at London’s Stamford Bridge.
As a result of the Covis-19 pandemic it is the first European match to be changed to another location.
On Tuesday the Spanish Government extended a ban on arrivals by flight from the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa to the second of March.
On air travel from these countries is officially permitted only legal residents or citizens of spain and the neighboring micro-state Andorra.
In previously planned changes, Manchester City will play its first Champions League match with Borussia Moenchengladbach in Budapest and RB Leipzig will also play in the Hungarian capital.
Last season’s pandemic massively affected the Champions League, the top club event in Europe.
